My first digital scrapbooking kit

Hello everyone,

This is my first kit. I created it last week and I'm so proud of it, especially the baby shoes and pram (products of my imagination). I'd love to know what you think.

Freebie-Mini Christmas Kit

Hey guys,

Last night I created the first freebie kit for you. Inside you'll find four Christmas papers and six Christmas ornaments. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them. If you like them, please leave me a message. You can use this kit for commercial use as long as you create a link back to my blog.

You can download the kit here. I'm using this service for the first time so i hope it work well.
Take care now.

Further steps in the right direction

Here are more of my designs; One is my wedding photo and the other is of my little bridesmaid. I think they turned out pretty well. The paper I used for my wedding photo is one of my favourite creations. I might create a paper pack later for my future shop.
For now, here you go.
My first pearl, flower and clipping mask

My first steps

One of my dearest friends allowed me to use their wedding photos for my "scrapexperiments" after I designed a few elements. Here are the results. Any swirls or flourishes I used, I drew by hand or designed them in Photoshop elements. Here you go.

For the following design used the very first bow I created using Wendy Williams's tutorial (she's great). I was so proud of myself for pulling it off.

Blog happy

After playing further with the html and css codes, I'm finally happy with my blog. The space between the header and the post has reduced and what's left doesn't annoy me anymore. I like my blog much more now. Wow, it was definitely a long road to here but I'm happy I've arrived.
Take care

Early Christmas

I know it's a few months too early, but I designed three Christmas packs and I would like to show them off.
I'll post two today and the other tomorrow because I still want to do a little tweaking. Click on them for a larger view. Here they are. Tell me what you think.

The annoying space

Okay! I've searched everywhere and tried everything to get rid of the space between my header and my first post. It's really annoying that in order for people to read the first post they have to scroll all the way down. Any technical people out there that can help me out? If someone knows how to solve this problem, I'd appreciate a comment. Thanks guys.

Playing around with headers

I have to say, my header gave me a hard time but I would have it no other way. I wanted to design it myself. I created many versions before I was satisfied. I would like to show you three of my experiments just so they get to see the light of day. Do you agree with me that the one I used in the end is the right one? Click on them for a larger view.

At first I liked this, but then I thought that the brown was too overwhelming.
For this I thought the background was too much as  it has the same paper I used for the main blog background

This was my first header but doesn't it look like it belongs to a blog about chocolate?

Open day

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. The name Tangi, is one of my middle names but no-one ever addressed me by it since I have two other names. I like the name (it means thank you in my language), I wanted to make it feel less neglected, by borrowing it to this blog.

Now, a little about me.

I'm a self-learned scrapbooker. In fact, I'm just around three months old. I started scrapbooking just for fun and got hooked. Now here I am, displaying my wares for the public to see. The last two nights I stayed up all night designing my blog background and header. I know it's not perfect, I'm just a beginner after all, but I am proud of it. Never in my wildest dreams have I ever thought I'll be able to design anything digitally. But I have. All the paper and elements I used for both the header and background are made by me in Photoshop Elements. I'm so proud of myself despite the fact that it was hell playing around with html and css codes to position them just right. As you can see, some page elements are still not quite where they should be and I'm still trying to remove that large space between the first post and the header. I'll get there.

Anyway, the reason I started this blog is because I want to allow you, to follow me on my journey of becoming a scrapbook designer. I'm three months late, but still at the start. I believe I've come a long way in just three months and I'm excited to see where I will be the next three months. Through this blog, I also want to be an inspiration to other digital scrapbookers, as they have inspired me the past months through their blogs and comments in scrapbook forums. Thank you. I hope with time, you too will learn a little something from me. I'll post my digital supplies and occasionally, some layouts on how I used them.
I have to let you know that this blog will consist of more photos than words (so I can have enough time left to design) and I plan to post a little something weekly. Those of you who like my designs and hope to use them, I plan to set up a shop at some point where I will make them available. For now, I'd appreciate it if you leave a comment to let me know what you like the most. I'll also make some freebies available to my followers as soon as possible.
That's all for the introduction. Off to showing you the goods.
Enjoy and please follow and comment. I'll be following right back.
Don't forget to come back soon.
